Here's the latest project. This is going to be the shop's quad when it gets done.
Starting with 1997 Polaris Sport 400L
Basically it is going to be turned into an alcohol drag racing machine
So far the plan on mods are:
RCR Out of Frame Drag Pipe
Lighten stock frame and powdercoat
Lighten flywheel
Lectron alky carburetor w/fuel pump
Billet high flow reed cage
Freshen entire motor
Porting
Head modifications
Lengthen swingarm
There will be more modifications along with cosmetic enhancements. Hopefully this will be done in time to lay down some rubber this summer.

Got the street tires in and on, also removed some "junk"

Frame mostly stripped, waiting on a few items to begin frame redesign, factory a-arms will be removed and rigid lightweight replacements will be welded in. Frame will be lightened. Aluminum items will be bead blasted and let bare. Engine needs pulled and built, transmission is being redone for Forward Only with my own "drag mod" which is being developed for this machine. Swingarm will likely be removed for a +3-5" rigid rear setup retaining stock axle. Once the frame work is done its off to be powdercoated.
Customers machines come first and if you want something like this call. We can set it up.
This bike is bound to leave alot of "stock block" stuff in the dust so don't be left behind
As for restoration type projects this is a Honda Trail 70 Engine I just got done rebuilding going back into its original condition frame, this will be a nice looking "original" bike.
As for old Honda bikes (pre-75ish) I am always looking for original bikes that fall into the Vintage category, under 450cc, and restoring them for personal use or others. If you have an old Honda that you want to bring back to respectable condition give me a call. I'll restore other makes and models as well.

Chassis cut, stretched, and all the items it won't need removed, RCR out of frame pipe brackets done.
It is now torn entirely down and in the process of being sandblasted and powdercoated.
Winter is a great time for these big projects when the shop isn't as full and your not riding so don't wait until its too late!
